In spite of a cold December rain falling outside, the Norwood Congregational Church was filled with warmth and holiday cheer provided by the Parkway Concert Orchestra.
The Orchestra presented the final concert of its 65th Season on a beautiful summer-like afternoon at the First Congregational Church in Norwood. The Orchestra’s theme for this season has been “Music that Inspires.” This concert’s sub-theme was “music celebrating Inspiring Teachers.” One of many highlights of this wonderful afternoon was the performance of Mendelssohn’s Concerto for Violin in E Minor, performed by guest artist Dr. Katherine McLin, who happens to have been one of Mr. Fritz’ Inspiring Teachers.
"Music from Foreign Lands and Far-Off Places" A beautiful, spring-like afternoon. A wonderful program of music from around the world. A great and supportive audience. A sensational guest artist, cellist Owen Young. It was a good day!
