Concert Notes:

Spring Pops Concert in Norwood on March 12, 2006, 3:00 pm

The First Congregational Church, Norwood, will present a concert for the public on Sunday, March 12th at 3 p.m. at its church located at 100 Winter Street, Norwood. Lawrence Isaacson conducts the 50 piece non-profit orchestra in classical and pops selections, including Holst's Jupiter and Mars from The Planets, Sleeping Beauty Waltz and Clear Track Polka by Strauss. The orchestra is delighted to welcome special guest group 'Basically Broadway', a 50-member Broadway song and dance troupe lead by music director Barbara Brilliant. They will be performing selections from The Sound of Music, My Fair Lady and Phantom of the Opera.

The program is supported in part by a grant from the Norwood Cultural Council, a local agency that is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.

Tickets are $15; $12 for seniors and $10 for children under 12 years. Reserve tickets will go on sale on Monday February 13th. To reserve tickets, please call 781-762-3320 and leave your name, phone number, and number of tickets requested. Your tickets will be waiting for you at the door before the show. Refreshments will be available for purchase.
