Concert Notes:

Fall Pops Concert on November 5, 2006, 3:00 pm

The Parkway Concert Orchestra wishes to extend a special thanks to our sponsors for this concert.

The St. Theresa School PTA will present the Parkway Concert Orchestra in an exciting fall concert on Sunday, November 5 at 3 p.m. in Monsignor Donahue Hall, St. Theresa School, 30 St. Theresa Avenue, West Roxbury. Music Director and Conductor Peter Freisinger conducts the 50 piece non-profit orchestra in classical and pops selections for the entire family, including "Sorcerer's Apprentice", "Procession of the Nobles", "American in Paris" and excerpts from "Oklahoma". The program includes original choreography by Lior Benador. The St. Theresa Choirs, directed by Dr. Richard Bunbury, will join the orchestra in selections from Handel's "Messiah". After the concert, the audience will be able to meet and learn about the instruments at an instrument petting zoo.

Donations are requested: $6; $5 for seniors; $4 for children. Light refreshments and free parking are provided. For further information, please call 617-469-0721.

Guest Artist Lior Benador

dancer Lior BenadorBorn in Israel, Lior Benador studied dance and choreography at the Rubin Academy of Music and Dance High School in Jerusalem, Israel. In 2002, relocated to Boston, she trained in the Young Dancers Program at the Jose Mateo's Ballet Theatre. Lior has performed, choreographed, taught and taken part in summer programs and workshops in Israel, Switzerland, The Netherlands and the United States. Presently, she is a BFA dance student at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, with a second major in Exercise Science. Lior is also teaching at the Jamaica Plain School of Dance, as well as working independently on new choreography.
