Parkway Concert Orchestra presents Mahler, Khatchaturian and Friends on March 6 in West Roxbury

Mahler, Khatchaturian and Friends’ will be presented on Sunday, March 6 at 3:00 p.m. at Holy Name Parish Upper Church, 1689 Centre Street, West Roxbury. Music Director and Conductor Geneviève Leclair has chosen a lively program featuring the Adagietto from Mahler’s Symphony No. 5, selections from Gayane by Khatchaturian, Overture to Idomeneo, Dance of the Hours and Jeux d’enfants. The Holy Name Adult Choir, directed by Thomas Manguem, will perform Fauré’s ‘Cantique de Jean Racine.’

This concert is presented by Holy Name Enrichment Program and is sponsored by Vogt Realty Group in memory of Gene and Ann Vogt. During intermission, the audience will have a chance to meet and learn about the orchestra instruments at an instrument petting zoo. Concert admission is free.
