Open Rehearsals for Parkway Concert Orchestra

Parkway Concert Orchestra seeks volunteer musicians

Volunteer musicians who enjoy a mix of classical and pops music are invited to attend open rehearsals of the Parkway Concert Orchestra.

The Parkway Concert Orchestra will hold open rehearsals on Monday, September 8 and 15, at 7:30 p.m. at the First Congregational Church, 100 Winter Street, Norwood. There are current openings in the orchestra for all strings (especially viola, cello and string bass), horns, trombones, tuba, 2nd clarinet and percussion. Please call to let us know you're planning to attend and see if the orchestra is a good fit with you. Other instrumentalists are also encouraged to call to have their names included in a list of possible substitutes as needed. Music Director Matthew Fritz will conduct the 50 piece orchestra in classical and pops selections in weekly rehearsals preparing for a fall season with concerts on November 2, December 7 and 14.
